The vendor will be responsible to, but not limited to the following: • Site Inspection and Preparation: o Conduct a full inspection of the steel structure to identify rusted or deteriorated areas. o Prepare the site and ensure safe access to all areas of the steel structure. • Surface Preparation: o Clean all surfaces to be painted. o Remove dirt, rust, oil, grease, scale, old paint, and contaminants o Use wire brushing, sanding, power tool, or abrasive blasting or other approved mechanical methods. o Achieve surface cleanliness per SSPC-SP 10 / ISO 8501-1 Sa 2½ standards. o Ensure a surface profile suitable for coating adhesion. • Coating Application: o Apply a full protective coating system to the entire steel structure: ▪ Primer: Zinc-rich epoxy, DFT 75–100 microns ▪ Intermediate: Epoxy MIO, DFT 100–125 microns ▪ Topcoat: Polyurethane, DFT 50–75 microns (color as specified) o Total dry film thickness o Application by brush, roller, or airless spray as appropriate
