Specifications include, but are not limited to: College of DuPage (COD) is seeking bids for snow and ice removal services at their three (3) COD Regional Centers for up to three (3) years of service. The contract will be for an initial one-year term for Winter Season 2023-2024, with options to cover Winter Seasons 2024-2025 and 2025-2026. The snow and ice removal services are to be conducted at the following three (3) locations: 1. Naperville Regional Center 1223 Rickert Drive Naperville. IL 60540 Square Footage: 116,542 2. Westmont Regional Center 650 Pasquinelli Drive Westmont, IL 60559 Square Footage: 56,696 3. Carol Stream Community Education Center 500 N. Kuhn Rd. Carol Stream, IL 60188 Square Footage: 32,591 Contractor shall, provide all labor materials, equipment, supplies and supervision necessary to provide snow and ice removal, and salting services for the College of DuPage Regional Centers. The Contractor agrees to have sufficient equipment available to handle snow removal, quickly and efficiently and further agrees that said equipment shall be properly maintained and be in good working order. Both labor and materials are to be included in the bid proposal. The Contractor must have the capability to supervise and monitor the snow removal operations to ensure they are executed safely and within the time criteria specified in this bid. Contractor’s equipment shall have lights for night operations and all trucks must be equipped with auxiliary lights to provide safe operation when equipped with a plow and/or spreader. Contractor shall be responsible for providing appropriate cutting edge/blades and snow deflectors for all plows, graders and loaders owned and operated by the Contractor. Vendor will be responsible for the total removal of snow from all parking lots and parking lot entrances, sidewalks and entrances to the buildings. In cases of heavy snowfall, Contractor may need to haul excess snow off-site. Contractor shall be responsible for identifying suitable dump sites and shall provide a unit cost for disposal as part of their bid.
