Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall, provide all labor materials, equipment, supplies and supervision necessary to provide snow and ice removal services for the College of DuPage. The Contractor shall be available from approximately October 15, 2022 through April 15, 2023 for the removal of snow and ice. This is a one (1) year contract. Prevailing wages are not a requirement of this bid. This bid has two options of service. The College reserves the right to accept either Option 1 or Option 2 when awarding the bid. The College requires that each bidder fill out each portion of the bid. The College will be accepting the lowest responsive bidder to the options that are chosen. Both labor and materials are to be included in the bid proposal. Snow removal is to be done in a manner that clears all paved surfaces from curb to curb abutting sidewalks and sidewalk openings. Contractor is expected to provide all of the necessary equipment needed to insure that snow is moved up and over and beyond the curbs to the designated stacking areas. Relocation of snow placed in other than the designated stacking area will be at the contractor’s expense and must be done within eight (8) hours of notification. The Contractor must have the capability to supervise and monitor the snow removal operations to ensure they are executed safely and within the time criteria specified in this bid. COD designee will verify that each section has been completely cleared upon notification from the Contractor that snow removal services have been completed. In the event that the COD designee finds the sections unsatisfactory, COD will contact the Contractor to request additional clearing at the specific location(s).
