Specifications include, but are not limited to: The delivery of anti-icing liquid at scheduled intervals throughout the 2021-2022 snow season. Products such as “Thermopoint “R” Organic” or “GEOMELT” AG 64 Blend mixture, which have a ratio of 70% NaCl and 30% BIO, having a freeze point of -25 F or lower with a lab report stating the same, have anti-foam additive to reduce foaming during transfer, and not containing Neonicotinoids (Neonics), are acceptable. All other products or mixtures submitted will be reviewed and considered by the City, as long as they meet the anti-icing and de-icing characteristics as discussed above. All bids must have supporting documents included. The City estimates 35,000 gallons of this product to be used in the coming winter season. The City of Crystal Lake reserves the right to order more or less of the product as the weather conditions warrant use of the material. (The City expects to use between 25,000 and 45,000 gallons of material, with the minimum purchase to be dictated by the weather). The successful bidder shall be able to deliver and off-load a minimum of 4,000 gallons of product per delivery into a 10,000 gallon above ground storage tank. Quoted prices must remain fixed for the entire winter season (November 2021 through April 2022).
