BASE BID: CUS Retail HVAC • HVAC at Met Deli Retail space: It is estimated to require a 5 Ton fan coil and condensing unit. This should be connected to the existing supply ductwork in the basement and extend to ductwork opening in the basement wall for ventilation air requirements. HVAC Design Build Contractor shall verify all proposed requirements and provide a complete working system for heating, cooling, and ventilating the space per all code and Amtrak requirements and proposed uses. • HVAC at Canal Street, Suite 175 Large Retail space: It is estimated to require a 60 Ton air handling unit with chilled water coils and electric heating. HVAC Design Build Contractor shall verify all proposed requirements and provide a complete working system for heating, cooling, and ventilating the space per all code and Amtrak requirements and proposed uses. • HVAC at Canal Street, Suite 180 Small Retail space: It is estimated to require a 15 Ton air handling unit with chilled water coils and electric heating. HVAC Design Build Contractor shall verify all proposed requirements and provide a complete working system for heating, cooling, and ventilating the space per all code and Amtrak requirements and proposed uses. • Only two design submission (50 and 100) % are required. • Use a consultant for conducting Risk Analysis and to provide any previous Risk Analysis on the A/E. • Providing 3 hard copy sets of drawings for each review submission package. Provide full sets. • Notify the COTR and cc the CO of any activity outside the working hours. An Amtrak representative should be always present. • Work performed inside comm. rooms need to be supervised by Amtrak IT personal • City of Chicago Permitting and SHPO coordination review will be required. ALTERNATE BID #1 : CUS Retail Door Replacement • Historic Exterior Doors at Canal Street, Suite 175 Large Retail space: There are (2) existing exterior historic doors that will need to be repaired or replaced. • Historic Exterior Doors at Canal Street, Suite 180 Small Retail space: There is (1) existing exterior historic door that will need to be repaired or replaced. • It is preferable to repair these doors and reuse the existing historic hardware. This will require coordination with SHPO. All historic requirements must be followed. ALTERNATE BID #2 : CUS Retail Drywall and Painting • Canal Retail: Confirm fire rated closure to floor below. Fire proof steel and or provide shaft wall enclosure at all existing openings in drywall enclosures. Fireproof existing open steel columns. • Canal Retail: Provide new metal pan/concrete infill stair at Suite 175 to match existing North stair. • Provide 42” tall light gauge metal stud wall and gypsum board guardrail around recessed floor area at Suite 175. • Fix existing Stair at Suite 175: Provide closure below stair stringer. Repair bent stair riser and infill with concrete. Repair loose stair riser. Repair bent railing section. • Retail Suite 175: Replace broken glass – Remove (+-7) broken lites of glass and replace. New glass set in glazing putty; repaint window frame on the exterior. • Retail Suite 180 stair to mezzanine storage and mechanical room: Repair Fireproofing. Remove loose clay tile fireproofing, provide trowel on fireproofing to re-establish rating and provide painted gyp board enclosure covering existing conditions from elevator East to column R3. Repair clay tile arch floor Pending K&H Structural Investigation. • Retail Suite 175: Close misc. openings in the floor. Close multiple Pipe openings in floor. • Prep, Prime and Paint all walls.
