1.2.1. The Vendor shall provide pick-up and delivery of laundry items at the Chicago-Read MHC on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week, except on scheduled State observed holidays, between the hours of 10:00am — 11:30am. 1.2.1.1 In the event that a pick-up/delivery day falls on a scheduled State holiday, the pick-up and delivery services shall be provided the following business day. During the week of Thanksgiving, pick-up and delivery services shall be provided on Monday and Wednesday only. 1.2.2. The Center will provide all items that are to be laundered. All items that will require laundry service include, but may not be limited to, bed linens (twin size flat and fitted sheets and standard size pillowcases), bedspreads, blankets, pillows, washcloths, bath size towels, laundry bags, gowns and robes. 1.2.3. The Vendor shall understand that some soiled laundry items will be from incontinent residents, and therefore, may be contaminated. Contaminated laundry will be properly bagged and identified by the Center. Universal precautions should be followed for laundry marked as contaminated. The Center may require the Vendor to submit a copy of their policy regarding Universal Precautions and reports on their compliance with this policy. 1.2.3.1 The Vendor shall pick-up soiled laundry items at the door outside "G" building. 1.2.3.2 The Vendor shall perform sorting of all soiled laundry items. 1.2.4. The laundry process shall be provided as follows: 1.2.4.1 The Vendor Shall sort all linen/laundry items. 1.2.4.2 Laundry shall be washed with acceptable formulas. Industrial detergents are surface-active agents used in emulsifying, wetting, dispersing, cleaning, and for foaming in anti-foaming agents and temperatures (120-140 F degrees). The final rinse shall contain a neutralizer, germicide and fabric softener. 1.2.4.3 Bath towels, blankets, laundry bags, and all types of gowns and robes are to be washed, fluff dried, folded, sorted and stacked. 1.2.4.4 Bed sheets, and pillowcases are to be washed, fluff dried, ironed, folded, sorted and stacked. 1.2.4.5 Bedspreads are to be washed, fluff dried, folded, sorted and stacked. Bedspreads will also be ironed depending on the material. 1.2.4.6 The Vendor shall return all items sorted and stacked by item. The items shall be delivered at the door outside "G" building. 1.2.5. Items that require "re-wash" shall be returned to the Vendor to be reprocessed at no additional charge to the Center. Linens with retained soil and/or stains shall be specially treated. 1.2.6. Damaged or lost items will be replaced at the Vendor's expense using State master contract prices. 1.2.7. The Vendor shall supply twenty-three (23) cloth covered poly linen transport carts. 1.2.8. The Vendor shall supply replacement institution grade pillows upon request. 1.2.9. The Vendor shall leave a receipt for all items picked up and a delivery ticket listing all items returned in sufficient detail and format as requested by the Center. 1.2.10. The Vendor shall submit billing invoices at the end of each month. 1.2.11. The Vendor's laundry facility may be periodically inspected by the contract monitor or Center designee. 1.2.12. The contract monitors for the contract will be the Director of Support Services. For procurements conducted in BidBuy, the State may include in this contract the BidBuy Purchase Order as it contains the agreed Supplies and/or Services.
