Champaign Community Unit School District No. 4 is inviting sealed bids to replace damaged fencing panels and install fencing fabric on the soccer/marching band field north of Central High School at 610 W University Ave, and the football/track field at McKinley Field at 909 S New Street, Champaign, IL 61820. A detailed scope is listed in the scope section below, but generally includes replacing select damaged ornamental aluminum fencing panels and installing vinyl-coated chain link fencing on the ornamental fencing. SCOPE; a. Soccer/Marching Band Field (north of high school at 610 West University Ave, Champaign); i. Provide 29 Ameristar, Echelon Plus, Majestic Style, Black, 6’ Panels for the soccer/marching band field. ii. Remove 29 existing panels and replace with new (location of panels to be coordinated with the Owner). iii. Install chain link fencing, 6’ tall, black, vinyl-coated, 9-gauge core, 8-gauge finish on the inside of the existing fencing on the north, east, and south sides. See Attachment A for the limits of the fencing. The installation should match the previously installed fencing on the west side of the field. b. Football/Track Field (909 S New Street, Champaign); i. Provide 20 Ameristar, Echelon Plus, Majestic Style, Black, 6’ Panels for the soccer/marching band field. ii. Remove 20 existing panels and replace with new (location of panels to be coordinated with the Owner). iii. Install chain link fencing, 6’ tall, black, vinyl-coated, 9-gauge core, 8-gauge finish on the inside of the existing fencing on the east side. See Attachment A for the limits of the fencing. The installation should match that previously installed on the west side of the soccer/marching band field. c. Disposal of removed panels is by the contractor.
