Specifications include, but are not limited to: TRS is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide a comprehensive compensation study of positions within the Investment Department and the position of Executive Director, which will include analyzing position duties and responsibilities based upon job descriptions and interviews with TRS staff. The services to be provided include, but are not limited to, the following: A. Project Planning and Initiation The selected firm will meet on-site with TRS staff at the Systems office in Springfield, Illinois to confirm objectives, approach and schedule ensure a thorough understanding of the System and the roles and expectations of its employees and collect and review relevant background information on the current compensation program. B. Market Survey The compensation study will consist of a custom comparative market survey that includes similar public pension systems and examines such factors as current salaries level of experience required for each position level of responsibility years of industry experience education and professional certification requirements.
