The Contractor must provide bus transportation for various group events as needed for locations determined by various City Departments including, but not limited to, the City of Chicago Police Department, Chicago Public Library, Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events, the Department of Family and Support Services, and the Department of Aviation [“Using Department(s)”]. The Contractor must be able to provide bus transportation services for members of the City of Chicago communities and school age/high school children, as well as adults for various events. These events include, but are not limited to, the following: concerts, educational events, and special park events (i.e. events to celebrate when a Chicago sports team wins a game, a one-day citywide event, annual Chicago Senior Fest event at Millennium Park to celebrate Chicago’s seniors, etc.). Some events will require round trip bus service, including, but not limited to, the Chicago Senior Fest with the driver being required to transportsenior citizensfrom variouslocations acrossthe Chicagoland area with a return trip back to the original pick-up locations. Bus routes may require the bus to leave the state to provide the requested services. The Contractor shall ensure all buses operating on public roads and crossing state boundaries adhere to the rules of the road in the jurisdictions in which they are operating. The services under this Contract will be calculated and paid at an hourly or per day rate for each bus with driver provided by the Contractor (as specified in each bid line item). There will be no additional compensation for travel time, parking, fuel, tolls, storage, and any incidents that may occur during the course of providing bus transportation services as described herein. The Contractor is responsible for complete maintenance of all buses utilized in connection with this Contract including, but not limited to, all incidental costs at no additional cost to the City.
