Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The College of DuPage is seeking competitive bids pertaining to the renovation of (1) one existing Classroom. B. The quantity is (1) functioning Classroom that will be remodeled into a new floor layout, and newly constructed space will be receiving new chairs and tables. C. The awarded Bidder will be required to field verify all layouts and existing conditions. Demolition, material delivery, and modified existing space plus new construction are required during normal business hours. D. DuPage County prevailing wage is required for all associated installation/construction labor. E. Work locations are shown in the design and construction drawings herewith attached by Smith Group dated October 26, 2023, and Axent Solutions dated October 26, 2023. F. The new Lectern will be provided by the College of DuPage, not the bidder. New Lectern to be connected to building power by the bidder’s Electrician. G. Installation is expected to be coordinated with The College of DuPage. H. The awarded firm will complete the work ready for commissioning and turnover by May 15, 2023. I. The College of DuPage has applied for the Building Permit and paid the Permit Fee. The awarded Bidder must meet with the Village and submit the required Subcontractor information/fees. J. The company identified as lowest and responsible responder will be executing the College’s standard small contract agreement, (terms and conditions are not alterable). A sample contract is attached for reference. Please note prevailing wage, bond, and insurance requirements. K. The bidder identified and “lowest responsive and responsible” after the College reviews bids that were opened, understands that a post-bid interview, via zoom, is anticipated to occur within 24 hours of bid opening. This interview is to confirm that all advertised scope is understood and included in the lump sum bid amount or alternate bid amount.All Work is to be performed during normal project working hours. Days/Hours of operation are as follows: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am through 3:30 pm. Request for Overtime or Weekend or Holiday work hours is to be reviewed/approved by College of DuPage Project Manager. L. This contractor shall provide appropriate labor forces necessary for performing its work and cleanup of its work. M. This contractor shall prohibit any of their employees to work on campus who have been convicted of violent crimes or have outstanding criminal warrants.
