Contractor shall perform the following services at the direction of the Treasurer and in accordance with applicable State and federal laws, rules, and regulations (the “Services”): 1. Provide the Treasurer a secure link at which to request any background checks; 2. Provide an accurate and comprehensive criminal background check as requested by the Treasurer, no more than one (1) business day after the Treasurer submits the request, regardless of volume. Include within the background check the following: a. Whether the subject of the background check (“Subject”) has ever been charged with a crime; i. If the Subject has been charged with a crime, the disposition of those charges or, if there has been no disposition on a reported crime, the status of the charges; and b. A written certification of the accuracy of the background check; 3. Provide the Treasurer a mechanism for the Contractor to directly charge an applicant for any needed background checks; 4. Ensure that the charge to the applicant in paragraph 3, above, does not exceed the actual cost of the background check; and 5. Provide all background checks, even if the check shows no criminal charges, in a .pdf format or other format agreed upon by the Treasurer.
