Ability to accommodate a minimum of ten (10) firefighter personnel overnight due to sleep over from shifts • Offices for Chief, Deputy Chief, Officers - (3) total • Ability to house one (1) fire engine, two (2) ambulances, and one (1) quint ladder truck in three bays • A radio/report room accessed from the apparatus bay • A gender neutral restroom accessed only from apparatus bay • Exterior parking for ten (10) shift member cars and four (4) staff vehicles • Transition area from apparatus bay to living quarters to remove station boots and don quarter shoes. • Equipment storage for 50 parttime members meeting NFPA equipment storage standards • Smaller, individual sleeping quarters with a central area for lockers. Ideally located close to engine bay on the first floor • Individual gender neutral restrooms with showers • Humidistat to control interior humidity and in-line air purifiersystems • Small classroom/conference to facilitate training for on duty personnel as well as any members in area for training to include adjoining training and EMS offices • Sound isolation due to location near train tracks • Full kitchen, dayroom, quiet/study room, outdoor air for grilling and picnic table
