Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City applied for a Park and Recreational Facility Construction Grant (PARC) in June 2023 that requested funds for renovating the roughly 20,000 square foot facility including remediation work to prolong the life of the Woodstock Recreation Center. The priority project is mold remediation and sealing the pool area to eliminate future condensation concerns. Other proposed renovations: Remove and replace gymnasium roof, exterior doors, electrical panels and exterior siding; renovate pool, hot tub and sauna; add an ADA lift to the pool area; renovate locker rooms; create office space with breakroom; replace deteriorating retractable partition wall system; add an ADA restroom; install security camera and key fob system; improve exterior drainage in the parking lot; improve parking lot; and remodel entrance way and front desk. The City is seeking the interest of qualified architectural firms with experience in recreational and fitness facilities that can assist in developing architectural plans to renovate and remodel the Recreation Center to enhance user experiences and operations and maintain compliance with the scope of the PARC grant received.
