he Village of Skokie is seeking a qualified and experienced firm to develop the Village's Americans with Disabilities Act Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan (ADA Transition Plan). The Village intends to select a firm to prepare a Condition Assessment Report on approximately 240 miles of public sidewalk, 10 miles of multi-use paths, and access to and within public buildings that identifies existing access-limiting obstacles and other deficiencies. The Condition Assessment Report shall be used to create an ADA Transition Plan. he Village of Skokie wishes to develop an ADA Transition Plan for accessibility within the Village's ROW (only under the jurisdiction of the Village). The ADA Transition Plan must be compliant with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and all Village ordinances. The work shall include compiling data for completing a self-evaluation and Condition Assessment Report. The ADA Transition plan will address needs in the Village's data set, such as existing barriers, trip hazards, existing cross slopes and running slopes, and traffic signal upgrades. The plan also is to include an assessment of the entry/exit points to Village buildings. The Village will provide GIS and other relevant data for the plan.
