As part of each inspection, the vendor will answer the following questions about each tower: Tower Foundation Are the foundation bolts tight? Is there any sign of corrosion on the foundation plate bolts, nuts, or washers? Are there any foundation plate bolts, nuts, or washers missing? What is the condition of the tower leg foundation (cracking, spalling, or settling)? Condition of grout around the foundation plate bolts – is there deterioration or crumbling? Check for evidence of low spots on foundation where water can stand. Check for double nuts locking device on foundation plate bolts. Check that there is at least one drain hole in grout under leg base plate. Check that drain hole is free of obstruction. Tower Structure Spot-check at least 10 bolts on vertical tower members at 25’ apart on all faces of tower. Check leg condition Spot-check diagonal and girt welds when applicable. Is the tower twisted or distorted (visual, transit if suspect)? Is the tower finish in good condition (galvanizing, paint, stealth material, etc)? Are there any areas of corrosion (minor corrosion to heavy pitting)? Are there any bent or fractured members? Are there any loose or missing members? Are there loose or missing Anco Lock Nuts, Split Washer, or PAL Nuts? Are there any loose or missing bolts, nuts (all members and lags)?
