1. Location The attached maps in this contract is the first location of Weller Creek from just West of Mt. Prospect Road and ending at the box culvert going under Golf Road. Second location is Weller Creek beginning across from 596 Columbia Ave on Seegers Road and ending behind 501 S. Wolf Road. Proposed contractors shall inform themselves of all the conditions under which the work is to be performed concerning the site of the work, the obstacles which may be encountered, and all other relevant matters concerning the work to be performed and the type of trimming/tree removal required under this contract. All work is to be woodline to woodline and is subject to change when behind residential homes. On-site meetings can be arranged to answer any questions prior to bidding. The Contractor to whom a contract is awarded will not be allowed any extra compensation by reason of any such matters or things concerning which the Contractor did not inform himself prior to submitting a quote. The successful Contractor must employ, so far as possible, such methods and means in the carrying out of his work as will not cause any interruption or interference with creek flow. The City will coordinate access points with the property owners and indicate where public access will be. More information will be available at time of award. Contractor is responsible for any damage to public or private property. 2. Crews A Creek Vegetation crew shall consist of not less than four (4) crew members under the direction of a ISA Certified Arborist, with the required equipment to perform Creek Vegetation maintenance operations satisfactorily. 3. Tree Trimming and Removal Standards Remove all trees/vegetation unless it has been tagged with a white ribbon around it or is a desirable noninvasive species no less then five (5) inches in diameter (DBH). Tree removal shall consist of cutting tree down so the stump is flush at the ground or no higher three (3) inches of the ground. Trees for removal that extend through utility wires are the responsibility of the contractor to coordinate with the utility provider for safe removal. Remaining trees shall be safety pruned for the following: remove all limbs within 10 feet of the creek bottom that could obstruct flow, 14 foot clearance over yards, dead or decaying, split and hanging branches. Tree stumps shall be treated within twenty four (24) hours after removal has been completed with Tahoe 3 or Triclopyr 4E.
