1. Pump Removal: Separate 50 hp. motor from pump, use a 30 ft. spider crane, excavator, or similar with proper rigging for removal of the Vertical Turbine Pump through one Sky Window. 2. Pump Teardown: Disassemble the pump for thorough inspection; to include shafting, couplings, bushings/bearings, impellers, strainer basket, column piping, etc. 3. Cleaning and Sandblasting: Clean all pump components and prepare them for inspection. 4. Inspection: Check the dimensional integrity of all significant parts, assess the straightness of the shaft, and evaluate the clearance for the column and bowl bearings. 5. Repair Report: A comprehensive repair report will be created, documenting the disassembly process, parts replacement, modifications made, and the reassembly of the pump. 6. Repairs: Repair or replace the line shaft and pump bowl bearings as necessary. 7. Packing Replacement: Install new packing, and field adjust. 8. Pump Installation: Lift and lower the pump into place through skylight with a 30 ft. spider crane, excavator. Install new flange gaskets and bolts. Grease motor/bearings. 9. Provide Initial Startup: Check proper wiring, verify motor rotation, pump (run) amperage, pump-down time, etc.
