Specifications include, but are not limited to: This map is the Large Print Version of the State side of the 2023-2024 Illinois Official Highway Map with map elements rearranged and is to be printed in four (4) colors, both sides. The Large Print Version will have the same trim size as the Standard Print Edition, 24-3/4” x 38” and folded to the finished size of 4-1/8” x 9-1/2”. The awarded Vendor shall receive a sample from the 2023-2024 Illinois Official Highway Map 1st Edition upon execution of the contract. 12/2023 First editions - 6 pallets (250 per box, 48 boxes per pallet, 12,000 total maps per pallet) –72,000 Large Prints; Press approval on site of IDOT Mapping staff is required. Paper Stock: Vendor shall be responsible for supplying all paper stock. Vendor shall be responsible for reviewing paper stock specifications for each map type and providing paper stock equivalent or better than the written specifications. Prior to the production of any map, the Vendor must mail a sample of each proposed paper stock for review and approval by IDOT. Prior to the production of any map, IDOT must approve in writing the Vendor’s brand and specifications of the proposed paper stock they intend to use. If the Vendor’s proposed paper stock does not meet the written specifications of each map type, the Vendor may provide a reason which shall be subject to approval by IDOT. Color: Map will be printed in four (4) colors, two sides. Ink colors shall match the 2023-2024 Illinois Official Highway Map. The awarded Vendor will be forwarded a sample of the 2023-2024 Illinois Official Highway Map upon the execution of the contract. Soybean oil-based inks will be used in printing all versions of the 2023-2024 Illinois Official Highway Maps.
