Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. GENERAL: 1. Prior to commencement of the winter season, but no later than mid-October, the Contractor will be required to meet with the Superintendent of Public Works for a conference at which time we will agree upon the prioritization of the plowing. 2. Constant personal communication by means of cellular phone shall be available to the City during the Contract period. Contractor's personnel assigned to the City shall be thoroughly familiar with the City properties involved and knowledgeable as to the location of fire hydrants, landscape islands, etc. 3. Invoicing: Separate and direct invoicing is necessary for the Highland Park Library, the Highland Park Country Club, and the Woods subdivision. B. SNOWPLOWING: 1. Snowplowing shall commence within two hours following notification by the City. 2. The Work shall commence on or about 11:00 p.m. and end about 6:00 a.m. or as the City Snow Foreman determines necessary. 3. Parking lot plowing is expected to be completed by 6:00 a.m. on any weekday. 4. Contractor is to clear and maintain all Municipal Parking Lots as free as possible from snow and ice within the Scope of the Contract. 5. The City will provide necessary road salt for the Contractor to accomplish the Work 6. Contractor will complete forms provided by the City to document quantities of road salt. 7. No truck or equipment weighing over 8,000 lbs may be used in the two lots listed below. a. Central Business District Parking Garage West First Street Lot b. Central Business District Parking Garage East St. Johns Av Lot 8. No road salt will be used in the two lots listed above. A chemical substitute will be provided. 9. Any damage to City Property shall be repaired or replaced by the City at the Contractor's expense. 10. Any damage to mailboxes shall be repaired or replaced by the City at the Contractor's expense. 11. Any damage to residential property (fences, landscaping, etc.) shall be repaired or replaced by the Contractor at the Contractors expense, as weather permits, with approval by the Superintendent of Public Works. 12. Special snow handling equipment requiring special charges above and beyond Contractor's normal snow plowing rates shall be utilized only with the City's prior authorization
