Specifications include, but are not limited to: Remove existing shingles down to sheathing. Inspector for damaged or rotted roof sheathing, replace as needed. Remove existing chimney below the roof line and patch hole with new sheathing. The flu going through the roof is a water heater vent, make sure the flu is secure from winds and new roof flashing boot is installed. Install ice and snow guard around the lower perimeter of lower roof and in the valleys per code. Install approved water barrier over the rest of the roof. Install 30-yr architectural shingles with the homeowner’s color of choice from a standard color selection. Install shingle over ridge vent, cutting back the ridge for proper venation per manufactures instructions. New plumbing flashing boots on existing penetrations. There is a 2x4 under the dormer window that will need removed in order to flash properly under the window. Replace the old wood with a new piece after the flashing has been done. Remove existing aluminum siding leaving the soffit and fascia intact. Fan fold over the old wood lap siding, tapping all the seams. Install double 4” standard color vinyl siding that the homeowner chooses from the color samples the contractor provides. Split blocks and light blocks need to be used were applicable. Permit required before work starts.
