Description

The County of Kane and the Kane County Health Department (KCHD) is seeking sealed proposals from qualified, authorized, and experienced Vendors to implement a HIPAA-compliant electronic health record (EHR) system specific to local public health operations, including; ease of use, connectivity to state and local systems, streamlining medical records management and patient scheduling, and reminders are among the technological improvements important in this search, as the County desires to move away from paper charting.

KCHD seeks the assistance of a qualified and experienced public health-focused EHR vendor(s) that can accomplish the functionality parameters identified in this RFP, as well as integrate additional features and functionality that may be identified in the future. The experienced vendor should understand local governmental public health.

The intent and purpose of the specifications and requirements outlined below are to procure the best offers for the implementation of a HIPAA-compliant electronic health record (EHR) system specific to local public health operations for the Kane County Health Department. The specified requirements are only for the purpose of establishing pertinent information to assist Kane County in its evaluation and selection process of the best offer and most qualified Vendor(s) that best meet the County’s objectives, contract requirements, and to efficiently deliver and perform the required services.

Vendors are encouraged to respond to this request for proposal and address the following (Sections I–VI) in their entirety. Vendors are to include their company profile, statement of qualifications, proposed scope of work, service program, approach and offers, proposed cost, detailed fee structures, project management and support team, equipment, and other pertinent information, as specified within this proposal document. The criteria used for the consideration and selection of a successful Vendor, equipment, and other pertinent requirements shall be the sole judgment of the County and the Kane County Health Department.
