Description

The County of Kane is accepting competitive bids from qualified and experienced Vendors to provide refuse removal services at multiple Kane County Government Complexes including the Kane County Forest Preserves. The vendor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials to provide collection, processing and disposal of refuse.

We are requesting Refuse Removal and Recycling Services at eleven (11) separate locations for Kane County Government and twenty-eight (28) separate locations for the Kane County Forest Preserve District for a period of four (4) years with an option to extend for an additional five (5) one (1) year renewal periods per County Board and Forest Preserve Board approval. Kane County reserves the right to terminate the contract upon 30 days written notice.

Additional Bidding Instructions

Price of the contract shall remain firm for the initial period of four (4) years, and include all charges, and applicable fees related to the requested service. Any and all other charges derived after award of contract that were not included in the submitted response, will not be considered for payment by Kane County.
If awarded this bid, the contract shall commence on July 3, 2023, or upon execution of contract, and terminate on June 30, 2027, with an option to extend for an additional five (5) one (1) year renewal periods, provided that such renewals are mutually agreed to by both parties. The Vendors shall indicate if cost cannot be held firm for the duration of contract term.
