Description

Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Idaho Falls provides power, water, sewer, sanitation and fiber services, and has over 27,000 residential and commercial utility accounts that are billed out on a monthly basis. There are around 4,000 bills emailed and 23,000 bills mailed by the USPS. The billings are separated into billing cycles. Currently the City has 27 billing cycles that are billed out monthly. This number of billing cycles could be reduced to improve efficiency and/or cost of service. Each day before the billings are stuffed and mailed, there are files that must be processed for accuracy on the utility account holder’s account. If there is an error, it is addressed prior to the bill going to print. Each cycle varies on size as that is dependent on the route (number of readings). The Utility bills are double sided. The front side has three colors (blue, black and red). The verbiage on the front side of the bill will be different on each bill. The back side of the bill is printed in black and the verbiage is consistent on every bill. A sample bill has been included in this RFP.
