Specifications include, but are not limited to: Establish and update the AAC rates for state approved drugs through annual surveys, help desk inquiries and recognized changes in pharmaceutical prices and product availability that occur on a regular basis. This must include both federal legend and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs; and both single source (brand) and multi-source (generic) drugs. Field and respond to provider reimbursement questions and Idaho Medicaid questions/suggestions and make appropriate changes to the AAC rates as needed. Be self-directed and propose needed adjustments based on market conditions. Conduct surveys of pharmacy providers, at least annually. Invoices that reflect drug purchases made by a pharmacy from a wholesaler or manufacturer during a designated period must be requested. An AAC must be calculated from the invoices received.
