Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1 The Truck described in these specifications must be a Self-contained, self-propelled truck mounted striping machine. 1.2 Must be capable of applying reflectorized paint lines using high viscosity water borne paint. The Truck, when fully loaded with four (4) two hundred fifty (250) gal Containers of paint (Totes), and six thousand (6,000) lb of beads. 1.3 The Totes referenced in this ITB are provided by ITD; the Contractor shall not be required to provide Totes. 1.4 Speed – Must operate at striping speeds of five (5) MPH to twenty - two (22) MPH, putting down two (2) four inch (4”) lines in each color (eight (8) total guns), at fifteen (15) mil to eighteen (18) mil wet film thickness, and six (6) lb to seven (7) lb of beads per gal of paint. 1.5 Capacity – Must carry One (1) or two (2) colors with up to four (4) portable two hundred fifty (250) - gallon paint totes and must apply paint directly from these containers. 1.6 The cab, flatbed platform, and all body and frame components mounted on or above the flatbed platform must be painted white. All components mounted below the flatbed platform must be painted black. 2.1 All hoses must be high pressure type. 2.2 All hoses must be routed in a manner to minimize rub points and bends. Hoses that will rub against metal during the operation of the Equipment must be wrapped for protection. 2.3 All hoses must be routed to protect them from heat sources and enclosed whenever possible to protect them from damage. 2.4 Teflon tape must not be used in the hydraulic system. 2.5 Hydraulic hoses must not be secured to any factory-installed chassis wiring, cables, hoses, or lines. 2.6 Hydraulic hoses must not be secured in the same bundle with any electrical wiring.
