The Collins Aerospace Proline Fusion system is the aircraft electronics and computer systems installed on our new airplane, the King Air N20MB. This integrated computer system controls nearly all the aircraft’s functions from communications, to navigation, to system monitoring. This system is similar to a computer’s operating system or OS, or a license for use of software. With this subscription we get the documentation and technical support for maintaining the aircraft. To be legal to fly, the software is updated every two to four weeks with navigation data, airport information and procedural changes in the National Airspace System. If updates are not completed the aircraft is restricted and then ultimately grounded. Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification.
