Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Academy will play a key role in the statewide development of the recovery coach workforce. This will include conducting informational sessions aimed at educating community agencies and providers of the value recovery coaches bring to the table. In addition to promoting opportunities for training, the Academy will track and assist with ensuring that certified coaches in need of renewing their certification are prompted to do so. In order to develop a sustainable certified workforce, the Academy will provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to individuals seeking certification or recertification, as well as those serving as active recovery coaches. Specifically, the Academy will also serve as a support for individuals while they work to complete their required number of supervised hours. Records of all training conducted, applications received, and certifications issued will be documented, tracked, and subject to audit review. Historical records will be maintained and available upon request.
