Specifications include, but are not limited to:Each snowplow must meet or exceed the minimum specifications provided in Appendix A, and be the latest model of the manufacturer's current standard production, as offered to commercial trade (demonstration units will not be considered). Though they are not specifically covered herein, all parts necessary to provide complete and efficient snowplows must be furnished with units of this type. All parts shall conform in design, strength, quality of materials, and workmanship to current engineering practices and accepted standards of the industry. Each snowplow must be completely assembled, adjusted, and installed on ITD furnished truck chassis when delivered to the ITD location identified in Section 4. All equipment, including standard and supplemental equipment, must be installed per the manufacturer’s specifications, and the unit shall be serviced and ready for continuous operation at the time of delivery. The contractor is required to install, and test the snowplows on ITD supplied truck chassis. Installation must be completed by a vendor normally engaged in the installation of snowplows. It shall be ITD’s responsibility to deliver the trucks to vendor’s installation facility within a fifty (50) mile radius of Boise, Idaho. For vendor installation facilities beyond the fifty (50) mile radius, it shall be the successful Vendor’s responsibility to pick up and haul the truck from Boise, Idaho to the vendor’s location for installation of equipment.
