Specifications include, but are not limited to: Bluetooth™ Technology Traffic Data Collection Lease 1 BTWFM sensors must detect and monitor the traveling public on the State highway system using Bluetooth™ and Wi-Fi™ Technology Traffic Data Collection and a web-based instation, which gives the operator comprehensive views of both the collected traffic data and the status of the detections sites. 2 Displays must be map-oriented, giving clear visualization of the traffic routes and associated data. 3 Units must detect the unique Media Access Control (MAC) address of Bluetooth™ and Wi-Fi™ devices, such as mobile phones, car hand-free kits, satellite navigation systems and laptops that are in vehicles passing the defined detection zones and use this data to monitor their entry and exit through the zones. This data must consist of at a minimum, travel speeds, travel time, and delay times of vehicles on the roadway. The encrypted MAC address data must be transmitted from the detectors via a live feed cellular network to a central server and its data base. The BTWFM must be able to relay data in real time to the vendor website that can be accessed at any time by ITD. 4 MAC address data must be uploaded at least every five minutes. ITD will accept a delay in uploads during periods of cell phone tower and service failure. 5 Graphs showing travel time, travel delay, and travel speeds will be averages using historical data.
