Backfill Sand
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE.
The 366 Contracting Squadron (366 CONS) of the 366 Fighter Wing (366 FW) is conducting market research to determine the availability, interest, and capability of potential business sources qualified and able to compete for a contract to provide the following at Mountain Home AFB, ID 83648.:
1. Provide 12,450 U.S. tons of backfill sand.
2. Actual delivery date is TBD; it is projected to be after 01 June 2025.
3. Provide sand, which is durable and sound, free from lumps and balls of clay, organic matter, objectionable coatings, and other foreign material. Provide sand that is loose, unconsolidated in nature, and consists of rock fragments between 0.06 and 2mm.

Updated information will be provided in future announcements or as needed. The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this request for information / sources sought notice.
Currently, the 366 Contracting Squadron (366 CONS) at Mountain Home AFB, ID 83648 intends to issue an Combined Synopsis/Solicitation / Request for Quotes (RFQ) to those potentially interested vendors who respond to market research efforts. Currently, the estimated delivery date is TBD but projected to be after 01 June 2025.
The NAICS code for this requirement is 212321, “Construction Sand and Gravel Mining” The Small Business Size Standard is 500 Employees.
The government requests interested parties to please respond/email the listed Point(s) of Contact (POC) to this notice with your company information to include SAM UEI and Cage Code, and Small Business size status if any. Please state in your correspondence that you are interested, and after reviewing the requirement information provided in this notice, if you believe you are capable of meeting this requirement and the associated timeline for delivery/performance.

366 CONS is interested in quantifying and pre-qualifying the likelihood of setting aside competition for this requirement at Mountain Home AFB to a small business. Depending upon the responses to this notice and other market research, 366 CONS may limit the competition to a specific socio-economic small business category at the exclusion of all other potential business concerns.
This announcement serves as the first step for 366 CONS to determine the viability of setting aside this requirement for competition solely within or among certain small businesses in selected categories. This is a Sources Sought Announcement only; no solicitation exists or is available at this time. Requests for a solicitation shall not receive a response.
This announcement shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. In the event a solicitation is developed, currently, the government anticipates
