Specifications include, but are not limited to: Assists, plans, develops, coordinates and implements public health education initiatives for DOCD social media activities. Oversees development of materials on both non‐ vaccine preventable and vaccine preventable diseases. Assists in coordinating and managing division activities associated with ensuring health education information is widely available to the general public, healthcare providers, parents, and others to assist with increasing the awareness of DOCD initiatives. Ensures all forms of media, as well as all written and printed materials distributed or disseminated by DOCD are accurate and in accordance with departmental standards. Updates DOCD’s webpages where necessary and/or enlists help of DOCD’s contracted web design firm if updates are of a more complex nature. Monitor’s DOCD’s social media pages, posts approved public health education messages to promote DOCD initiatives, and otherwise updates the pages as necessary. Works with the Department of Health Communications Director when necessary to develop and implement public information campaigns appropriate to DOCD’s mission and work. Performs regular evaluations of the impact or outcome of the public health campaigns as well as assessments of message consumption (i.e., website and social media analytics). Other media projects as assigned.
