Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Protect the crown from injury. • Remove all the following: dead, dying or damaged fronds and broken stubs; flowers, inflorescences and infructescences, bud nuts and fruits at any stage of growth, epiphytes, vines and palm sprouts/seedlings, fronds obstructing or in contact with buildings, roofs, signs, fences, utilities, flag poles, driveways, street lights, private property, vehicle/ pedestrian traffic areas, solar exposure of photovoltaic panel system placements so as not to inhibit existing or anticipated sunlight projection ranges, and other structures and access. Fibrous growth between the fronds should be preserved. • Palms shall not be pruned excessively. Live fronds above the horizontal plane at the bottom of the crown, at the “3 o’clock and 9 o’clock” positions, shall be retained.
