Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Enforce Library and University policies of conduct within the facility. 1) Maintain contact with designated Library staff. Uphold the University’s safety and security mission, goals/objectives, and requirements for providing service. 2) Ensures that the policy on quiet in the libraries is observed. 3) Enforce Library policies regarding use of public computers. 4) Be alert and maintain surveillance for unusual and deviant behavior, i.e., vandalism, harassment, suspicious behavior. 5) Submit to designated Library staff, by end of shift, a written report of problems, complaints and/or solutions; include any directives or instructions that were given from Library staff regarding problems within the Library. 6) Ensure that health and sanitation standards are observed by enforcing Library rules on eating, drinking, and smoking.
