Specifications include, but are not limited to: The DOH home visiting program administers the Hawaiʻi Home Visiting Network, branded the “Your ʻOhana” Network, which is a public-private partnership with home visiting programs that strengthens families and promotes positive parent-child relationships. The DOH contracts with partners to provide early identification (EID) and home visiting services. EID services include screening women in birthing hospitals, developing sources for receiving referrals – with a focus on referrals from pregnant mothers, and screening families from referrals to determine program eligibility based on child environmental risk factors. Families who are eligible are voluntarily referred to a Local Implementing Agency (LIA) that provides home visiting services.
