Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Purchase at least three (3) booths at the IFIA20, April 22-24, 2020, in Tokyo, Japan. • Design and construct at least three (3) booths to attract targeted buyers from each sector: food manufacturing, nutraceutical, cosmetics, and importer/distributor. • Recruit at least five (5) Hawaii agricultural companies to exhibit at the Hawaii Pavilion at the IFIA20 and at least one additional Hawaii company that is new to the tradeshow. • Include a plan to track sales at six- and twelve-months after the IFIA20 tradeshow. • Serve as liaison between Hawaii exporters, Japanese importers, a local agent and tradeshow organizers. • Provide guidance on market entry and transporting samples from Hawaii to Japan. • Assist Hawaii companies with meetings with prospective buyers/distributors at the trade show. • Provide payment for interpreter services at IFIA20 and incidentals such as sampling cups, saucers and spoons. HDOA will assist with recruiting interpreters. • Provide on-site assistance for the set-up and breakdown of the booths, and during the trade show. • Provide on-site assistance for Hawaii suppliers to answer food science, technical questions from (i.e. nutrition, micro count and food applications) from potential buyers. • Collect participation fees ($300-$500 per company) and utilize the fees for promoting participating products with HDOA’s approval.
