Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Hawaii’s (“State”) Department of Health (“DOH”), Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division (“CAMHD”), is requesting proposals from qualified Applicants to provide Hospital-Based Residential Services (“HBR”) services for children and youth. Ancillary services of temporary 1:1 support from a paraprofessional worker shall be available with the HBR services contract. The ancillary services are to be authorized for "high-need" clients as a structured alternative in addition to the standard residential services and shall be provided when needed to stabilize a youth and prevent crises or movement to a higher level of care. These services shall be provided by a paraprofessional employee of the Provider agency and billed as an additional reimbursed service. Ancillary services shall be provided based on documented clinical justification from the client's clinical team, and each authorization for this service requires the CAMHD Medical Director’s approval.
