Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall furnish and install steel gates for the twenty (20) restroom doors at the Oahu District facilities. The gate frame shall be fabricated from galvanized 3” X 2” rectangular box tubing at least .120 thick. The top, middle, bottom and bottom rails as well as the stiles shall be made from the box tubing. The vertical steel bars shall be at the minimum galvanized ½” X ½” square stock. Each gate shall have a lock box that will accommodate an Abus 83/55 Series 2. The gates shall be able to lock in the open and closed position. The welds and cut surfaces shall be coated with galvanized paint after fabrication. There are access controls at six (6) of the Ala Wai and two (2) of the Keehi comfort stations doors. The gates shall be positioned so that it does not interfere with the operation of the existing doors and access systems and it does not present a barrier to the user’s access to the comfort station when it is open. Some of the doors are in a corner and instead of covering the existing door it may be more efficient to enclose the area around the door. The bidder shall also supply twenty (20) Abus 83/55 Series 2 locks with a high security cylinder that is keyed to the State system that is on file at Island Pacific Distributors.
