Specifications include, but are not limited to: At a minimum, KIS desires a system comprised of the following: • a Camera Surveillance Security System that are quality products • a scalable, cost-effective platform that allows for hardware or software upgrades • a system that provides comprehensive area coverage, is easy to configure and use, and has a reasonable installation and implementation timeframe • an efficient system that will minimize system downtime KIS desires a vendor who has the products, capability, and personnel necessary to undertake this project and who can provide a sound roadmap for future upgrades and who can articulate commitment to the product innovation and to the support of emerging standards. KIS intends to have full ownership of the installed camera surveillance security system at the end of the contract term, including extensions, if any. KIS desires a system comprised of the following components. 1) The entire campus must have camera coverage in strategic areas defined during a site visit. 2) The vendor must submit a detailed design proposal to maximize the use of their proposed system. 3) The vendor must provide a total maintenance program for a minimum of ten (10) years to lower the annual cost of the system. 4) A system that has the ability to adapt to expansion to allow for flexibility in the future without redoing the entire system. The Specifications listed below are minimum design requirements. 1) Cameras shall be installed and positioned on the interior of campus. Cameras are required on the entry/exits of bathrooms, high traffic and “crime” areas, and other strategic areas as defined during the walk through of the campus. 2) Cameras shall be installed and positioned on the exterior of campus. Cameras are required on all major walk through, and other strategic areas as defined during the site visit of the campus. 3) All cameras shall be high resolution and vandal resistant. 4) Cameras shall record 24/7. 5) All cameras shall be terminated to a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) or Network Video Recorder (NVR) or HD CCTV. The vendor is responsible to connect the DVR or NVR or HD CCTV to the KIS network.
