Specifications include, but are not limited to: Goals: 1. Provide children with 24/7 safe and temporary living environment; 2. Provide Community Based Homes (CBH) in various geographical areas to keep children in their community; 3. Provide Community Based Homes (CBH) in various geographical areas to allow children to continue in their school of origin; 4. Children will receive crisis stabilization and on going counseling; 5. The child will be assessed upon placement, needs identified and referrals made to meet these needs; 6. Provide knowledgeable trained staff and resource caregivers to stabilize and support the needs of the child; and 7. Provide training and support to the child’s parent/caregiver to assist in the transition from the Community Based Homes to the child’s new living setting. Outcomes: 1. Prevent or reduce the number of runaways; 2. Improve placement stability; 3. Improve academic outcomes; and 4. Improve the well-being for youth (e.g., behavioral and emotional functioning, social functioning, school attendance, physical health and development, mental health).
