Inspection: Conducts inspections and evaluations of health care facilities and programs identified by OHCA to implement Chapter 321, HRS, and enforce the specific statutes and administrative rules relating to health care facilities and programs licensed by the OHCA. The health care facility types include but not be limited to Adult Residential Care Homes (ARCH) type I and type II, Special Treatment Facilities (STF), Therapeutic Living Programs (TLP), Assisted Living Facilities (ALF), and Developmental Disabilities Domiciliary Homes (DDDH) across all islands in the State of Hawaii. The inspections shall include a detailed evaluation and report of the condition of the building structure, ADA compliance of entire facility, wheelchair approval per floor, room, walkway, ramp, and driveways, the number of habitable rooms on each floor, proper light and ventilation, overcrowding, safe stairways, condition of walls, floors, ceiling, hallways and stairways, safe condition of yard, the number, type and condition of bathroom facilities such as toilets, tubs, or showers and lavatories, supply of clean towels and linen, plumbing fixtures and adequate approved potable water supply and waste disposal system.
