The CONTRACTOR (also known as the Awarded Vendor) shall provide DOH EHA with services to remove and replace a wooden ramp and wooden stairs, and level a supported trailer located on the Waimano Ridge Campus. Safe access is needed into the trailer to assess the interior. The CONTRACTOR shall provide demolition, disposal, reconstruction and modular space trailer leveling services at the site located within the DOH’s Waimano Ridge Campus at 2676 Waimano Home Road. The scope of work is as follows: 1. Demolish and remove existing 5’x43’ wooden ramp with an 8’x8’ landing platform including wooden railings and associated appurtenances. 2. Demolish and remove existing 4’x4’7”x3’6” wooden stair structure with a 5’x5’ landing platform including wooden railings and associated appurtenances. 3. Dispose of all demolished material at a licensed construction waste facility in accordance with State and Federal laws. 4. Inspect and assess trailer support jacks, repair or replace as needed. 5. Using the support jacks, level the trailer and ensure alignment with proposed reconstructed ramp and stairs. 6. Construct new concrete landing pad connecting to existing asphalt pavement at entry point of ramp. 7. Reconstruct Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant ramp and landing platform connecting to the main entry double door into the trailer including guardrails and appurtenances. a. Framing and decking shall be treated wood. b. Guardrails, post bases and anchors shall be galvanized metal. 8. Reconstruct stairway and landing platform connecting to the single door into the trailer including handrails and appurtenances. a. Framing, substructure and handrails shall be treated wood. b. Landing platform and stair treads shall be slip and weather resistant composite material. 9. All traversable surfaces shall be slip and weather resistant, and all new components shall be painted to match existing finishes.
