1. General. The consultant’s work shall include project management services; project programming; project coordination; subcontractor coordination, project scheduling; project budget and cost estimates, summary reports, project website updates, schedule and conduct regular project meetings; preparing meeting notes; update 10 Year Strategic Plan; prepare and publish annual summary reports of SNIPP program and format to legislative report requirements; and all other work as required. The consultant shall ensure all work meets the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, DOT State Noxious Invasive Pest Program Strategic Plan, DOT Highway Manual for Sustainable Landscape Maintenance and other appropriate documents, and good horticultural and landscape architectural practice and judgement. 2. Prevention. Prevent invasive species introduction, spread, and establishment along HDOT – Highways-managed roads. Develop guidance the HDOT districts and project designers can use to prevent the introduction and spread of invasive species for maintenance and construction projects. Assist the HDOT districts to improve their maintenance procedures. Review construction projects to promote native plantings and minimize the use of non-native species.
