The Division of Forestry and Wildlife is seeking bids for the RECONSTRUCTION OF A PREDATOR-EXCLUSION FENCE FOR RARE SNAILS. The proposed fence unit will be 167 meters in circumference and will be constructed entirely of plastic lumber with HDPE geomembrane as siding. The basic design of the fence includes a solid wall with a hood to exclude rats. Four rosy wolf snail barriers will be attached to the exterior of the wall consisting of two flared 15° angled flanges, a cut copper mesh barrier, and an array of copper bands, to be electrified by ANRPO after completion of fence construction. The backbone of the fence is a plastic lumber structure of 4”x4” or greater posts cemented 2’ into the ground or driven 3’ into the ground. Connected to these posts, there are three plastic lumber boards running parallel to the ground: one 2”x6” reinforced, one 2”x8” reinforced, and one 2”x12” unreinforced.
