Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE) supports educational programs at residential treatment facilities. Students are placed in residential settings based on their individual needs and continue to receive educational services in these settings. Under this agreement, Contractor will attract, screen, hire, and manage an estimated eleven (11) Special Education Teachers, eleven (11) Educational Assistants, and four (4) Highly Qualified Content Area Teachers to implement educational programs for students in residential treatment facilities. Special Education Teachers and Educational Assistants will be placed at facilities while Highly Qualified Content Area Teachers will support each facility education team as needed based on student needs. At least one (1) Special Education Teacher and one (1) Educational Assistant should be placed at each facility on a regular basis. The Highly Qualified Content Area Teachers will support the Special Education Teacher’s work to provide rigorous instruction for students to meet graduation requirements and be college and career ready. Students will receive the benefit of working with educational teams and the coordinated efforts among the facilities.
