A. The Contractor shall accept human remains from MED and store them in a refrigerated space until they are released to a funeral home or back to MED. B. The acceptance of the remains by the Contractor shall be performed during business hours (7:45 AM – 4:30 PM) on weekdays, except for holidays. 1. Services during other times, weekends, or holidays may be requested in an emergency situation. C. The Contractor shall respond promptly to all calls originating from MED and shall be ready for acceptance of human remains within one business day. 1. MED may request the Contractor to coordinate with MED’s body transport vendor. D. The Contractor shall receive the human remains from MED and store it in a refrigerated space. The transportation paperwork provided by MED shall be filed accordingly to pair up with the human remains.
