Services • Services would cover the following State and Federally listed species: Hawaiian hoary bat (‘ōpe‘ape‘a, Lasiurus semotus) • Develop a predictive model of Hawaiian hoary bat (ʻōpeʻapeʻa) occupancy on the island of Oʻahu using existing datasets, including acoustic detections, habitat characteristics, land use patterns, and known occurrence records. The model will aim to identify environmental and spatial variables associated with bat presence to inform conservation planning and management. • Validate and refine the predictive model through targeted field data collection. Ground-truthing efforts may include acoustic monitoring, habitat assessments, and other field-based methods to compare observed bat activity with model predictions, improving model accuracy and reliability for future applications.
