Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County of Hawai‘i, Department of Public Works (DPW) objective for this notice is to support Planning Department’s Kilauea eruption recovery efforts. The County is seeking professional civil engineering services to plan, design, estimate, prepare construction contract documents for and assist with construction contract bid and administration of demolition and reclamation work, in accordance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) procedures, on up to 40 blighted properties it acquired following the 2018 Kilauea eruption, District of Puna, Hawai‘i. These properties were impacted by the disaster through partial lava inundation or isolation, damage by fires caused by lava, or secondary effects of volcanic activity, such as heating or gases.
