Specifications include, but are not limited to: OED is requesting proposals from community groups seeking support for projects that stimulate economic opportunities, strengthen the unique character of Oahu's diverse ethnic communities and improve the quality of life of our residents. OED grants are awarded to organizations located in the City and County of Honolulu that are registered as a non-profit organization in the State of Hawaii. These grants are intended to benefit people on the Island of Oahu by supporting activities that promote diversity and growth within Oahu's economy. Grant support is intended for partial funding of a project as a means of encouraging collaboration with the community and local businesses. Grants are limited and highly competitive. Funds are not granted for religious programs or for operating support of the organization
