Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project shall include at minimum the following components: a. Barriers to keep dogs within designated spaces. The design includes the use of basalt rock for monument walls, stone columns, and aluminum fencing. The monument walls and stone columns are to have the look and finish consistent with traditional Hawaiian dry stack technique, uhau humu pohaku. b. Two-way entry/exit gates. The gates will utilize local ohia wood for pickets, posts, and rails, or other material of equal performance and quality. c. Landscape maintenance gates. d. Signage to communicate expected protocols when utilizing the park. e. Signage to communicate cultural aspects of the Premises. f. Area lighting. g. Amenities such as play equipment for dogs. Play amenities will include basalt rock boulders and composite agility equipment. h. Amenities such as water spigots, waste receptacles, and seating. The seating will include park bench style seating as well as basalt stone seating. i. Hardscape areas. j. Modifications to existing irrigation, lighting, and plumbing. k. Restoration of any existing landscaping that is damaged during construction.
