The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW) Kauai District is seeking a secured storage facility on the westside of Kauai to store fire and emergency response equipment and supplies. The facility will not be accessed regularly but will need to house one D6 dozer, wheel loader, mini excavator, track loader, tractor and mowing attachment. DOFAW staff will not need daily access however during an emergency we will need 24/7 hour access to the site for all DOFAW staff which is approximately 35 personnel. One or two staff members may visit the area on a bi-weekly basis to just double check on the equipment or do maintenance checks. The requested space shall be secured by a lockable 8’ cyclone fence, or shall have security guards on site to provide surveillance of assets. Minimum Site Requirements At least 2500 sqft of covered space Access to water (can be non-potable), either a hydrant or standpipe to fill water truck (4000 gal) and 3 slip-on pumps (350 gal) at initial incident response
